Net Neutrality who Voted for it, and who needs to be VOTED OUT OF OFFICE.
On June 8th 2006, the House of Representatives voted on Net Neutrality. Basically Net Neutrality does the opposite, it takes the internet and gives it to the Mega Telecom Companies, and will let them to decide which websites run fast, slow or not at all. The Big Telecom Companies want to be able to charge websites an exorbitant amount of money for fast service and if websites don’t pay up then they’ll be doomed to a slow connection and/or forced to close up shop.
Luckily for everyone the halls of Congress are filled with Republicans and the measure was voted down 269-152 with 11 members not voting. The vote pretty much went down party lines with 140 Democrats, 11 Republicans, and 1 Independent voting YES, and 211 Republicans, and (wow) 58 Democrats who voted against the measure. So far we know that there are 140 Democrats and 11 Republicans who need to be voted out of office. And who are these Members of Congress whom are voting to sell out and fleece their fellow Americans again. Well here is a list of the House Members and how they voted on the measure. I must thank Gargles for putting together such a fantastic resource. Here is the state by state breakdown on who voted for Net Neutrality.
